Vocational guidance for schoolchildren

"Skvorechnik" Family Club offers you programs which main aim is vocational guidance for children. At what age can the child choose the future ocupation? How to understand, to what subjects or art the child has the greatest abilities and internal propensity? Usually the problem of future trade is arisen only by senior pupils in connection with necessity to choose the further education sphere. However it is better to prepare the child for it since kindergarten.

Our club offers early vocational guidance for preschool and school children, consisting of 3 to 5 individual studies for 1,5 hour. While holding the program on vocational guidance for children we are based on the wellknown theory of occupational choice developed by American professor J. Holland, method of cardinal psychodiagnostics and akmeological psychofuturing. While holding the program we will surely reveal the current self-concept level.

Further, at will of children and parents, we offer to take part in the program «I believe in success!» aimed at increase of children’s self-concept level, ability to define the goals and to achieve them, at overcoming of diffidence and fears.

Our club offers events on vocational guidance for schoolchildren specially developed by our teachers. We will ask the child about occupation of his/her mother and father, grandmother and grandfather, and then to tell about these trades to the group. The more the child will get information and the more various and rich it will be, the easier it will be to make the key choice, which will define his/her life.

Our work, events on vocational guidance for schoolchildren are focused, first of all, on development of the child’s belief in his/her strength. Individual and group discussions, various colourful encyclopaedias, development games will help us to learn, what sphere of scientific knowledge is more interesting for the child: biology, astronomy, literature, sport, etc.

Our club will offer various role games on vocational guidance, in which the child will choose a trade for himself. He/she will have to play the role up to the end, during the game learning responsibility and serious approach to the assigned task. Group games on vocational guidance for preschool and school children are also important because children start to communicate with each other, share their dreams, favourite books, tell, why they have chosen such role in the game, so they receive communicative skills; learn to work in a team and listen to other participants of the game.

Work on vocational guidance of preschool children and primary school children also includes explaination to the child, what qualities and knowledge are required for trade interesting for the child.

Early vocational guidance for preschool children is basically characterised by revealing of the children’s interests and enrichment of this sphere with knowledge of new trades; vocational guidance for primary school children is aimed at understanding, what subjects suit to the child’s propensity and abilities, for the purpose of possible transfer him/her, for example, to a mathematical class. Deliberate choice of a trade usually occurs at teenage age, when children’s moral values are formed, consciousness of self and own ability. Teenagers aspire to feel themselves and to become adults, strive after communication with contemporaries. Their outlook on life, relations between people, own future are formed during this period.

Vocational guidance for children often arouse problems for parents. Our teachers will advise you how to talk to your child about trades, how to start conversation and what to tell. We will help you to understand psychological features and desires of your child. Vocational guidance for schoolchildren is a major step to the future correct choice of a trade, which will not make you regret. And games on vocational guidance for schoolchildren are first shy steps to the goal, which someday may become the meaning of life.
